Civil disobedience or Civil Resistance is the active, professed refusal to obey certain laws, demands, and commands of a government, or of an occupying international power. It is a form of non-violent protest that breaks the law, usually civil law. Civil disobedience is one of the many ways people have rebelled against what they deem to be unfair laws.
